Remembering RBG: Barrington woman recalls bond with Supreme Court icon

Ann Kittner recalls being chauffeured from her Barrington home to a Manhattan hotel, where she met her longtime friend Harryette Gordon Helsel and her husband, Stanley, who had driven into the city from Bethesda, Maryland. The next morning, the two women walked into a nearby apartment abuzz with makeup artists, lighting equipment and cameras. As Ann and Harryette sat on a comfortable sofa, directors/producers Betsy West, a Brown University alumna, and Julie Cohen asked them questions about their friendship with Ruth Bader Ginsburg.   The pair talked freely back and forth, as they still do on the phone every Sunday, sometimes finishing each other s sentences and laughing simultaneously, as old friends often do.
