Beyond our press site, over by the Vehicle Assembly building, there are scores of workers out, permitted for the first time to bring binoculars and cameras of their own to the base. Theres a holiday atmosphere. While normally during these launches, work goes on the cape to keep things on schedule, and indeed, in the Vehicle Assembly building, they have already erected apollo 12. Its ready to be rolled out as soon as apollo 11 is on its way for a launch.
