On Thursday, the Central Bureau of Investigation arrested BRS MLC K Kavitha in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. Kavitha, aged 46, was arrested by the ED from her residence in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on March 15. Delhi Court extended her custody until April 23, following her appearance before the court upon the expiration of her previously granted judicial remand.

BRS leader K Kavitha was sent to Tihar Jail on Tuesday following her judicial custody in the Delhi excise policy scam case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) presented her in court, concluding her custody remand. Before entering the court, Kavitha asserted the case s illegality, vowing to fight it out, and exclaimed "Jai Telangana."
Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader K Kavitha, previously in Enforcement Directorate custody for an alleged liquor scam, faces 14 days in jail as ordered by Delhi s Rouse Avenue Court. ED sought the move, having interrogated her during remand. Kavitha, MLC from Telangana, was arrested on March 15th.
K Kavitha has requested CBI to withdraw notice under Section 41-A of CrPC related to Delhi excise policy scam case.
