So i would like to give the remainder of my time to the interns so that you can hear more about the experience and take away from the summer. David who is a nonprofit partner who received a base learning grant Young Community developers that is working with the south east, sfi Internship Program that was done in partnership with the parson and whurs and brown and caldwell and srt and project mrur who was an intern who was based at our 525 headquarters to talk about the youth led on tours that they did. I am the Deputy Director here, and we are a nonprofit in the city and to build the city and change with the lesbian and gay and queer and questioning youth. And we have the program for years and this is the first time that we have been able to take part of the opportunity in the pec to really engage our young people in the Environmental Justice work and to expose the Career

Could you respond to that . Yes. We did repurpose one of the digesters no. 5. We have not gone from 10 is to 9 and not done good planning to get back to 10. As i mentioned in my presentation we repurposed that for control given that the facility is 1940s technology and hasnt kept in part to what we believe we should be doing for that community. We have purposely only had 9 digesters working. Weve known that salt of that we needed to replace that which will be the next item for you for your consideration. But we did regular routine inspection which identified this particular emergency followed by more deat detailed inspection. We do not believe its poor planning but we do believe we are dealing with a facility that is beyond its life and particularly the Operation Staff are doing a great job given its age and technology and really trying to be responsive to the neighborhood that is literally across the street from us. In the vicinity of the plant itself . We did take a look at the lbs that are from that specific neighborhood. There are i believe two including bay cat which is a locally grown organization there to help deal with the outreach components, but again the lbe program is citywide so brown and caldwell picked from the citywide program. Given the history that weve had over the years looking at the third street light rail, looking at even more recently developments happening now in bay view Hunters Point, i think it makes a lot of sense to do everything we can to ensure that we are going to have the most robust local Higher Program that will bring the neighborhood in itself. I want to make sure that you heard from me and im sure you will be hearing from the community as well that that maximizing of local hiring is going to happen and there is a real strong plan for that. The history has not been strong. We have a local ordinance now that can help guide that process but we also need oversight
