A 17-year-old girl in Minnesota successfully kept her father alive thanks to a middle school health class that covered lessons in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Lindsay Lee, who now attends Park Center High School, was at home last summer when her father suffered a heart attack.

At first, Lindsay wasn’t sure whether her father was having a heart attack or a seizure. But she knew she had to do something.
Lindsay started performing CPR while her sister called 911. Dispatchers on the phone also aided Lindsay in the process.

“My mom was with me and I told her to hold my dad’s head up, so he wouldn’t choke on his tongue. My mom did the mouth to mouth part too,” Lindsay told CCX Media.
