The Thornbury Pier Resurfacing Project has been delayed.
The Town of the Blue Mountains says this comes as a result of the required measures to be taken related to COVID-19.
The Town says on Tuesday, April 20th, it was informed by Brook Restoration Ltd. the crew working on the project have been identified as close contacts to an individual that tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result, and in accordance with public health protocols, the construction site has been temporarily shut down.
The Town says it has confirmed the contractors worked exclusively within the fenced construction site and it is believed they did not have any interactions outside their crew.
