Speed on Ord Road a problem, says park owner

Photograph By Murray Mitchell A rollover that sent a woman and two children to Royal Inland Hospital speaks to a larger problem with traffic on Ord Road, the manager of a mobile home park said Sunday. Brock Estates manager Myles Hanke said he didn t see the Dodge Avenger leave Ord near the intersection at McLean Street Saturday afternoon, but most of the accidents he s witnessed are a result of someone driving too fast on the windy, two-lane stretch of asphalt, he said. People are still going really, really fast. It s speed, all the time, said Hanke. Emergency responders were called to the 2400 block of Ord at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Acting assistant chief John Anhorn said the Dodge was upside down in the ditch and two children were in the care of paramedics when firefighters arrived.
