Broadway Rose Opens Its 30th Anniversary Season With THE STORY OF MY LIFE

Broadway Rose Theatre Company has announced that it will mount the musical The Story of My Life, and make it available for streaming February 5 - 28. Rentals are $25 per household for a 48-hour rental and will go on sale January 6. $5 tickets are available for Oregon Trail Card holders through the Arts for All program. With music and lyrics by Neil Bartram and book by Brian Hill, The Story of My Life weaves songs and stories together to explore the unseen ripples we make in each other s lives. The two-person intimate musical played on Broadway in 2009 and was nominated for four Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Musical.
Gallery, LaCroute awarded decade honors

Gallery Theater and avid arts supporter Ronni LaCroute are among honorees in the Broadway World Regional 2020 Awards.
Gallery was named “Community Theater of the Decade” and its December 2019 showing of “Beauty and the Beast” was recognized as best “Production of a Musical of the Decade.”
LaCroute was named “Fundraising Supporter of the Decade” and “Top Arts Supporting Organization.”
She has supported Gallery, Linfield University and other art venues and activities for many years. In 2019, for instance, she made sure Gallery was able to replace the seating in its main theater.
Portland winter theater, film guide: Organizers adapt to bring arts into homes

The winter season traditionally offers a full plate of theater, dance and other arts events. But with COVID-19 restrictions still firmly in place, companies have had to pivot to offer theater and film audiences new avenues to enjoy performances.
While some organizations are still finalizing plans and methods of delivery, the theater groups below have already rehearsed and recorded performances to stream on various platforms. Also this winter, two well-known film festivals are ready to stream movies, or provide drive-in screenings.
