Shocking details have been revealed about a convicted paedophile who has just been released from jail who once threatened to kill a young girl he raped during a chilling phone call to his sister.
Douglas Brian Jackway, 44, was released from Brisbane Correctional Centre on Tuesday after he won a review of his sentence, after spending most of the last 25 years in prison.
He was transferred to the nearby Wacol Correctional Centre accommodation precinct, where sex offenders are housed.
Jackway has spent all but three months of his adult life behind bars, after first attacking a 10-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl in the 1990s.
