Man arrested in connection with Dudley robbery POLICE have arrested a man in connection with a Dudley town centre robbery. The man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon and was today (Thursday December 17) in custody. Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station also recovered a weapon, pictured, as part of their investigation – part of West Midlands Police force s Operation Guardian patrols. The town centre robbery happened in Bird Cage Walk at around 6pm on Sunday December 13. Police say enquiries continue.

Man arrested in Stourbridge on suspicion of motor vehicle theft A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle after police caught him driving onto the car park at Stourbridge Football Club. Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station spotted a suspicious car while on patrol on the evening of Wednesday December 16 and followed it as it drove onto the car park at the War Memorial Football Ground in Amblecote. The driver was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and driving offences and police seized the car which was believed to have been stolen.

Machete thrown from truck during Dudley police chase A MACHETE was thrown from a flat bed truck as it raced to get away from police in hot pursuit in a Dudley road chase. Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station pursued the truck but had to abandon the chase due to the risk to the public. A machete was thrown from the vehicle during the chase, Dudley PC Jamie Follows said. The weapon was later seized by officers who also found the truck abandoned in Farthings Lane, Dudley, at around 12.4am on Tuesday December 15.

Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station followed a black Seat Leon suspected of involvement in attempted keyless thefts of cars, including the theft of a Focus RS, and they blocked the car in when it came to a stop in Pensnett Road, Brockmoor, to prevent its escape. But two occupants from the car fled and a lengthy foot chase through gardens ensued, Dudley PC Jamie Follows said. Officers managed to detain one of the men who was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and going equipped for theft.

Officers on patrol from Brierley Hill Police Station found more than 1,000 plants at various stages of growth across multiple rooms when they located the facility in a unit on Oakdale Trading Estate just before 3pm yesterday (Tuesday December 15). Dangerous weapons were also recovered, police said on Twitter.
