Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station made the arrests while conducting Operation Guardian patrols throughout Dudley town centre - working alongside neighbourhood officers and conducting high visibility and plain clothes patrols. Police saw a suspicious black vehicle and detained its two occupants for a search - during which a large amount of cash, mobile phones and suspected class A drugs were discovered. Officers arrested both occupants on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and seized the uninsured car under the Road Traffic Act.

Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station gave chase earlier today (May 10) after a car failed to stop for police on patrol and raced off at speed, overtaking vehicles. After a pursuit, the driver abandoned the car - a black Honda Civic - and fled on foot. Officers, however, caught up with him and he was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop. The car was seized under the Road Traffic Act and the man was taken into custody.
