thank you so much for coming on. jeffrey, flag burning a very emotional issue. i think we probably discussed it before but i m going to read donald trump s tweet early this morning. he said nobody should be allowed to burn the american flag. if they do, there must be consequences. perhaps loss of citizenship or a year in jail. so give us a brief recap on this flag burning in the constitution. there are two legal issues raised by that tweet. the first is the supreme court in 1989 and 1990 has said that burning the flag is a political act protected by the first amendment. the second point is the supreme court has also said that the law may not punish anyone with removal of your citizenship. you can be thrown in jail, you can be executed, you can lose the right to vote, but citizenship is not something that can be removed from someone for committing a crime. brian, to you, i want to play
