Connecticut just launched a program that offers rebates for installing charging stations for electric vehicles.
Connecticut is aiming to make EV chargers as common as gas pumps under the initiative.
Homeowners would get up to $500 off their power bills for installing chargers.
Apartment complexes can get even more money, as well as shopping centers and businesses: Up to $40,000, or up to $250,000 in rebates for installing fast super-chargers.
The program starts next January and runs for nine years.
Connecticut wants to have 500,000 electric cars on the road by the end of the decade.
