These Oklahoma prison dog training programs at the men’s prison in Lexington and the women’s prison in McLoud have had a ripple effect on the people involved and the community beyond the prisons’ walls. Friends for Folks is working to raise money to get the program started again since the original director retired and the pandemic limited it.
Those involved with Friends for Folks have made it their mission to help the incarcerated, to help their children and to spread hope to everyone the program touches.
