Causing temperatures to plummet from the upper midwest all the way to the gulf coast. There are blizzard warnings in minnesota, south dakota, and iowa. By late yesterday, there were whiteout conditions in some areas, making travlt treacherous. Most schools in minnesota are closed today as are the chicago schools. The windchill there could reach 40 below today. And the cold and snow caused multiple crashes in michigan. The National Weather service said most of the midwest will feel colder than barrow, alaska, today.
