Folks we hope to solve as we learn more about the incident. I want you to look at the scene from yesterday about 11 15. A gunman armed with a shut gone went into the mall and started shooting. When it was over, Brianna Benlolo and Tyler Johnson of Ellicott City were dead. Five others were wounded. Theyre all out of the hospital, including one shot in the foot. This is a woman who was at the food court on the lower level at the time that happened. Perhaps today well learn more about why this happened and perhaps help the folk at the mall begin to return to normal. Of course it will be closed today. We dont have word as to whether or not it will be open tomorrow. Hopefully in half an hour, well have more answers to the questions that remain after the tragedy here at the mall in columbia. Police found a bag next to the gunman that had explosive fireworks. Today theres a News Conference at 9 30. Well carry that live on news 4 today. 1 00 p. M. This is a little more than 48 hours after the deadly shooting. Tonight were learning more about the gunman, 19yearold Darion Aguilar of college park. Police say he walked in and opened fire in the zumiez store. Police believe aguillar turned the gun on himself. Two federal Law Enforcement Officials Say the incident appears to be domestic in nature but Howard County police have not confirmed that. The mall will reopen this afternoon at 1 00. On saturday, Howard County police say 19yearold Darion Aguilar shot and killed Brianna Benlolo and Tyler Johnson at a zumiez store and then took his own life.
