The number one thing on their mind is the outburst of the mall at the mall in columbia killing three people on saturday. Tonight we know the 21yearold who is a young mother and her coworker 25yearold Tyler Johnson were killed inside a zoomies store, a skate board outlet. Tonight this is the man who did it, the 19yearold Derek Aguilar of college park. Andrea mccarren joins us from columbia with more on who this guy was. Darion aguilar had no criminal history. It may help answer the most troubling questions, why. Beyond darion aguilars smile in this drivers license photograph was a clearly troubled life. Less than three hours after the bloodshed, aguilars mother filed a missing persons report on her son. Investigators became concerned for the 19yearold safety after reading an entry on the journal. There is a journal expressing general unhappiness with his life. Reporter police pinged his cell phone, revealing he was inside the mall. Only later did investigators determine that the missing man and the shooter were the same person. Police have not been able to establish anything to explain the violence. No known relationship between our shooter and victims. We are continuing to look for that motive. Reporter in early december, aguilar purchased his pump Action Shotgun legally at a licensed dealer in rockville. Apparently he brought that, ammunition, and made explosive devices into the mall in a backpack. There was no answer at the College Park Home aguilar shared with his mother. We have learned he graduated from Blake High School in Silver Spring in 2013. Last february he was accepted to Montgomery College where he planned to study environmental science. But he never enrolled. While Police Continue to investigate this tragedy, the mall in columbia will open tomorrow at 1 00 p. M. With an increase security presence. Andrea mccarren, wusa9. Now people that live in darion aguilars neighborhood, they did not know the man well, but they are stunned at what he did. Aguilar lived just several blocks from the 21yearold victim Brianna Benlolo. As cops swarm the area searching where aguilar lived, a neighbor took notice. They had blocked the street off right behind my truck there. They were walking up and down the street from 9 30 until 10 00. I finally went to bed and then heard all these doors open and closing, looked out and they were more coming down the street. I mean ive never seen so many policemen. Its sad that someone kind of snapped and decided to shoot people. Its not a way to solve your problems. That is hurtful. Their lives just wiped out. I mean thats terrible. As we know the question tonight is why did it happen. Police say they will be reviewing documents that they got from aguilars home to determine the motive of the deadly shooting. And we are also learning more tonight about those victims, the 21yearold Brianna Benlolo lived half a mile away from the gunman in college park. 20yearold Tyler Johnson, his aunt talked about coming to the heart wrenching revelation that he was dead. With a long, long time before we found out it was actually on the second floor of the mall where he worked. Then to found out it was in the store where he worked. It just kept narrowing down to us. Reporter tyler did work at that zumiez store. His aunt says he has left a legacy even though he was so young. Were also learning a lot more about the timeline leading up to the deadly shooting. Showing the gunman arriving at the mall an hour later at 11 15 a. M. , the gunman pulls out the shotgun and starts shooting in the skate board store as we noted he fatally shot two employees before turning the gun on himself. As we told you earlier, they are going to reopen tomorrow at 1 00 p. M. They are providing grief counselors and they will help reunite employees and shoppers with their personal belongings. The friends and family of teresa gathered at a Gaithersburg Police tonight. The sophomore was struck and killed by a car just after leaving the school on friday, walking with the road. Killing french and injuring the 13yearold who was walking alongside it. Police say that speed is likely a factor in that crash. Justin bieber missing from the grammys, thats because hes in panama soaking up the sun. He might want to enjoy his freedom soon. The 19yearold was arrested eay thursday morning in miami charged with dui, resisting arrest, and driving without a license. Miami pd said he was drag racing and tonight weve got the video. Earlier this month Los Angeles Police searched biebers home after a neighbor accused the pop star and his entourage of throwing eggs at his home causing extensive damage. Lets talk specifically about this so we can go to the video with her performance and what was on her fingertips. A lot of talk about the black on her fingertips. Now, kelly, what does this represent . What was this about . I dont really know. I dont know if she was trying to make a statement, but the fingertips were painted black, but they were again, that goth dark performance from a 17year old. There was some talk on the internet as well with a betrayal of maybe somebody is on crack. Thats the kind of fingertip that you would have, but why would a 17yearold want to put that out there .
