We wanted to know whats being done in the meantime. One lawmaker told nbc 10 that active discussions are still going on even while the legislation is not in session. The last 12 years, only two other pennsylvania budgets have taken longer to get passed. In 2009 the impasse lasted 101 days. It took 176 days in 2003. That year the School District said they came dangerously close to running out of money.
