Chicagoans will continue to enjoy warmer weather Tuesday, with a high of around 50, before temperatures start to drop with potentially freezing cold Thursday.
Winds will produce drifting snow in the morning, creating visibility issues, especially in open and rural areas. A slow improvement in weather conditions is expected in the afternoon, with the winter weather advisory ending at noon.
Temperatures slightly improved Saturday after the coldest December day recorded in Chicago in nearly 40 years, according to the National Weather Service.
