Haskell Man Originally Charged With 3 Crimes, Now Faces 1 Charge A Haskell man who was originally charged with three serious crimes, is now charged with only one case after it was moved to federal court. One of Aaron Johnson s victims, James Murray, is frustrated and worried he won t get justice after he said he was robbed and beaten by Johnson and his crew. Murray recalled being assaulted that night when he woke up and found Johnson in his home.  He started screaming, Get down, get down, get down! He hit me, he was gouging me with the gun,  Murray said. He hit me in the head with the gun and of course it knocked me about half out and I laid on the floor. And he said, I oughta kill you.

Last seen in March 2019, Dameron disappeared while leaving her mother s rural home early in the morning. Her family has been following various leads, including draining a pond near her home, but is no closer to discovering what happened to Dameron, who was 25 when she disappeared, her aunt, Pam Smith, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation. Now, as two Oklahoma attorneys partner with the Cherokee Nation and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation on a new pilot project to raise awareness, resources and protocols for cases of missing and murdered indigenous people, Smith finally feels some hope.
