Quite simply, wolf, chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion, and he said the president has brought authority to protect National Security by enacting this particular travel ban. Justice john roberts, he put it quite simply, in fact, saying the proclamation is squarely in the scope of president ial authority. So the court ruling today that both under federal Immigration Law and the constitution, it was within the president s right to enact this wideranging travel ban that affects seven different countries.
