Siren's Seafood Owners: We Have No Idea What Caused Fire - Middletown, NJ - One of the owners said the Middletown fire marshal has not even told them yet what caused the fire.
MIDDLETOWN - A man who injured his leg while hiking Saturday in Hartshorne Woods Park needed the help of a technical rescue team, which lowered him down a steep slope to a boat waiting on the Navesink River.
The man and two other people were hiking down an unmarked or “rogue” trail in the Rocky Point part of the park about 11:30 a.m. when the man fell, said Karen Livingstone, spokeswoman for the Monmouth County Park System.
“They were new to Hartshorne,” she said.
The park has more than 14 miles of trails through its nearly 800 acres and is bordered to the south by the Navesink River. It may be situated in the suburbs, but it can be deceptively challenging, even treacherous.

The rescue took place on Saturday afternoon around 12:04 pm when firefighters were dispatched to provide technical rescue skills and help with bringing an injured hiker to safety.
Firefighters were able to use their equipment to provide transportation to the trail s entrance where they had to then get out and hike about a half mile where they joined Rumson First Aid who was on scene treating the patient for their injuries. After assessing the situation, it was decided the best course of action was to perform a technical rope rescue, Fowler said in a statement.
A crew from the Community Fire Company was able to place the injured hiker into a stokes basket and used ropes and pulleys to wheel the the injured hiker to the embankment 100-feet below where they were standing at the time.
