Amidst the craziness that was the week of the SEC Championship, Florida welcomed 22 signees as a part of its 2021 recruiting class.
The Gators have a few spots remaining to bring in prospects from this cycle, but for the most part, have filled their team needs and landed quality players across the board.
However, which prospects provide the most quality play, and profile, to earn a chance at playing time as true freshmen? Below, we look at six prospects by name, and numerous positions, in which help could be needed rather immediately by players who might already be ready to step on the field.

Mullen convinced his best player to stick around for the Southeastern Conference championship game and maybe the College Football Playoff.
Once the 10th-ranked Gators were officially eliminated from playoff contention, Pitts wasted little time opting out.

Mullen convinced his best player to stick around for the Southeastern Conference championship game and maybe the College Football Playoff.
Once the 10th-ranked Gators were officially eliminated from playoff contention, Pitts wasted little time opting out. He announced his decision on social media Sunday, less than 12 hours after Florida lost to top-ranked Alabama 52-46 in the SEC title game in Atlanta and before Mullen’s team learned it was headed to the Cotton Bowl to play No. 8 Oklahoma.

Florida’s loss to LSU still doesn’t entirely make sense to me. I can see what the Gators were trying to do on offense, and for the most part, I can’t argue with it. It’s hard to run up more than 600 yards, nearly 200 more than the opponent, and lose.
Because the defensive issues were basically the same as they’ve been all year which is an indictment of the management on that side of the ball, not an offhand comment tossed out without a care I focused on the offense to see what went wrong. Even as the defense had its problems, this was the first game where you could say the UF offense played a major role in the team’s downfall. This is what I found.
