Paul protesters are gathering to block part of i94. The protest starting with a march from the governors mansion. And we begin with breaking news from dallas. An ambush on police after snipers opened fire during a protest march. Heres what we know right now. 11 officers were shot. At least five of them are dead. Six are seriously injured and one bystander was hurt in all of this. So far police say they have three people in custody and overnight they cornered a fourth person in a parking garage who exchanged gunfire with police. The demonstration through the downtown area had been peaceful until the gunfire triggered fear and panic sending people running for cover. [ gunfire ] oh, my god. Theyre they cant be firing. Oh, my god. Just listen to that barrage of gunfire that took place there in the heart of dallas last night. Absolutely unbelievable to hear that. The woman who shot that video said she was scared when she heard that. Understandably so. Roughly six hours after that the standoff with the remaining suspect is now over. Earlier officials thought it was just one. Five Law Enforcement officials have died. Six remain hospitalized right now. Two are female officers. Weve also confirmed all the victims that were killed were men. Also right now, detectives are just starting to process the massive crime scene in downtown dallas. Several government build rgs closed and will be throughout the day. Within the past hour, a sweep of the area was completed. No explosives were found. Also while you were sleeping, the president has commented, calling the shootings a despicable attack and promised federal help. Downtown is still swarming with Police Officers right now.
