Berryvilles Landon Chester has been selected as a member of the 2021 Arkansas High School Coaches Association All Star basketball team.
Chester was named a member of the West teams All-Star roster.
Although the All-Star game itself was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, making the roster is still an impressive achievement.
Thats outstanding, Berryville coach Brent Compton said. Ive had a few of my guys make it over the years. I dont know the exact count, but its a pretty short list. Its very prestigious to make the All-Star game.

The Berryville Bobcats faced a difficult path to the Class 4A state tournament the Bobcats needed to beat Ozark on the Hillbillies home floor to keep their season alive.
Well, mission accomplished.
Berryville scored the first 17 points of the second half to turn a close game into a rout and went on to a 55-34 victory over Ozark on Thursday, March 4, in the first round of the 4A North regional tournament at the Hillbilly Activity Center. The win clinched a state tournament bid for the Bobcats, who went on to finish fourth in the regional. Berryville will face Southside Batesville at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, in Morrilton.

Doug Shotts tenure as head football coach at Berryville High School officially ended Monday, Feb. 22, when the school districts board of education accepted his resignation.
Im heartbroken over it, Shott said. But I have a full belief that things happen for a reason.
Shott, 56, was head coach of the Bobcats for four seasons compiling a record of 8-29.

His 2018 team went 4-6, the first time Berryville had won four games in a season since 2006.
