Of a Saturday morning Rob Penn delivers freshly baked 1kg loaves of sourdough to the 10 or so houses in the hamlet where he lives in the Black Mountains.
What will have begun with him feeding his starter on the previous Thursday night, proving on Friday, firing up his bread oven at 6am on Saturday, culminates in the very meaning of companionship with his neighbours, as well as fresh bread for him, his wife Vicky and their three children aged 16, 18 and 20.
