A motion brought by Cathaoirleach of the Greystones Municipal District, Councillor Stephen Stokes, seeking reform of local government in Ireland, passed with unanimous support at the February meeting of Wicklow County Council.
Bray Municipal District has paused the roll-out of the new parking system in the town which has seen drivers threatening to boycott the town centre, with drivers in particular irked by the requirement to have to enter their registration numbers to buy a ticket.

Councillor Rory O'Connor said he intends to address the challenges posed by the new parking system in Bray's council car parks after many drivers said they would avoid parking in the town altogether if something isn’t done.
