Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan has turned the sod on a €3.5 million project that will transform Bray railway station in County Wicklow into a transport hub.
After a wait of four years and a fundraising drive that saw the community of Enniskerry drum up €20,000, the sod was finally turned on the village’s community playground.
The people of Enniskerry celebrated National Community Gardens Week with the launch of the village’s new community garden at Dixon’s Meadow, where Gill Toal, chairperson of the Tidy Towns group, welcomed everyone before giving a fascinating overview of the area’s history.
