ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) Two Rochester Police officers who were first on the scene at the Hague Street fire Monday spoke publicly Friday for the first time since the deadly blaze.
They, along with a third officer, were in the area on Hague Street responding to an incident when they first spotted the fire just doors away.
“Literally right across the street, two houses to the right, there it was. When we were walking out it was clear as day you could just see the flames in the windows and everything at that point,” said Officer Andy DeMarco, an 11-year RPD officer.
