Death increase: The number of deaths from all causes last year in Ohio far exceeded previous years, with an increase well above the 9,500 that have been attributed to the coronavirus, Rich Exner reports. Preliminary data from the Ohio Department of Health shows that 139,072 Ohioans died in 2020, up 17,225 from the average of 121,847 over the past five years.

CLEVELAND, Ohio Developers behind a controversial new apartment building in Cleveland’s Little Italy plans to turn the inside of a historic mansion known for decades as a restaurant and bed and breakfast into more apartments for the East Side neighborhood.
Michael Panzica and Brad Nosan want to add 12 or 13 units inside the Baricelli Inn building at Cornell Road and Murray Hill. It was last home to the Washington Place Bistro & Inn, which closed in May.
