SFCC Announces Montgomery To Run Cross Country In Fall
State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners Cross Country and Track and Field Head Coach Brad Hagedorn has announced the addition of Ethan Montgomery to the Roadrunners Cross Country and Track and Field teams.
Montgomery will run cross country in the fall and will also participate in distance events on the track for SFCC.
Montgomery comes to SFCC from Willard High School, where he earned all-conference and all-district honors in cross country. Montgomery was also a state qualifier in cross country.
“Ethan brings an unparalleled work ethic to our program,” Hagedorn. “We are excited to see his progress over the next two years.
Charlie McFail was approved as the new head coach for S-C’s track and field program. Amy Miller was promoted to head coach for the Lady Tigers softball program.

Smith-Cotton High School senior Gage Harris has accepted an athletic scholarship to compete on the track and field team for Central Methodist University in Fayette.
Harris, the son of Laura and Jessee Harris, is a four-year letter winner in track and field for the Tigers and has served on the team’s leadership council the past two years. He was second team All-Central Missouri Activities Conference this year in shot put and has posted personal bests of 50 feet, 1 inch in shot put and 36 meters in discus.
S-C Track Head Coach Brad Hagedorn said, “Gage is an exceptional example of how hard work and dedication can result in top marks. He will flourish at the next level because he is capable of doing the work required of a collegiate athlete.”
