Television star Dwayne Hickman, known for lead roles in “The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis” and “The Bob Cummings Show,” died Sunday morning in Los Angeles after a battle with Parkinson’s disease, his family confirmed. He was 87.
Iâm not much for late night talk shows these days, but when I was, I always looked forward to appearances by the gnomish, grouchy Fran Lebowitz. I never really knew her official title, but I could always count on her to be caustic, blunt and real. On an episode of âLate Night With David Letterman,â Lebowitz said that her hobbies were smoking and plotting revenge.
