Kohima, Aug. 4 (EMN): In a bid to ease traffic congestion, a spot verification exercise for identifying no parking zone, one lane road and two lane road was carried out along the stretch of road starting from Classic Island till the Box Cutting area in Kohima on August 2. The exercise was jointly carried out by the SDO civil sardar, SP Traffic Kohima, OC Traffic, members of Officers’ Hill Youth Organisation and members of Officers’ Hill Colony Council. SDO civil sardar said the spots identified in the exercise will be submitted to the regional transport authority (RTO) for consideration in their quarterly meeting this month. If the recommendation receives the approval of the RTA, on-ground works will begin to set up barricades and other measures which will be strictly implemented.
