High school students charged in connection to teen’s shooting death
Authorities in Carroll County arrested two high school students involved in a shooting incident that killed a 17-year-old girl.
Officials said Candace Chrzan, a Mount Zion High School student, died while doing target practice with a firearm in the back yard of a residence on Tuesday at Bowdon Junction Road.
Authorities charged 17-year-old Jeremy Matthew Gray with involuntary manslaughter and other charges. Authorities also arrested 18-year-old Samuel Blake Grier, who detectives said threatened to harm Gray in a video for what happened.

Dana Charles Entrekin passed away on December 26, 2020 at the age of 70 in his Carrollton, Georgia home after a four-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Known as Big Daddy to his children and Biggie to his beloved grandchildren, Dana was a larger-than-life character who never met a stranger.
Born in Bremen, Georgia on August 31, 1950 to the late Ralph and Annie Ruth Entrekin, he grew up in Bowdon Junction, Georgia. Dana graduated from Carrollton High School in 1968 where he excelled as a member of the Trojan football team. He went on to attend West Georgia College, graduating with a BS in Business Administration in 1972.
