An 18-year-old Fountain Valley, Calif., man died Tuesday in a snowboarding accident at Lake Tahoe s Heavenly Mountain Resort. Wyatt James Colvard died due to internal injuries from blunt force trauma suffered in a snowboard accident, said Douglas County Sheriff s Office spokesman Sgt. Pat Brooks.
A 77-year-old Wisconsin woman died Tuesday morning in a ski accident at Heavenly Mountain Resort, according to the Douglas County Sheriff s Office. Kathryn Strangman of Madison died of injuries after ski patrol had attempted CPR at Heavenly s Boulder Lodge on the Nevada side. She had struck a tree while skiing, said DCSO Sgt. Pat Brooks.
