CFMMEU blasted by judge for 'inexcusable and unacceptable' conduct

Advertisement The CFMMEU and three NSW officials have been slapped with more than $1 million in fines for intimidating a crane company in a Federal Court bid to rein in the construction union’s “inexcusable and unacceptable” conduct. Federal Court Justice Steven Rares found senior officials from the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union coerced Botany Cranes into reinstating a sacked delegate and signing an enterprise agreement in early 2019. Former NRL player turned-CFMMEU official Michael Greenfield’s conduct was described as “shocking” by the judge.
