Greater Fort Wayne Inc. recently announced that the Fort Wayne metro area was the fastest-growing community in the Great Lakes region last year, and for four consecutive years Allen County has posted a positive domestic migration number.
When I think about this exciting growth, I think about how the Allen County Public Library fits in.
How can ACPL better serve our existing patrons and position ourselves to serve new ones? How can we support a thriving local economy and business community? Can our current facilities meet our community s needs? Should we have additional branches? Should some of our existing branches be larger?

Erie County Councilman Carl Anderson will serve as chairman of the seven-member body in 2021 and Kim Clear will be vice-chair.
The selection of Anderson was made during a reorganizational meeting Tuesday. It is customary for the person who served as vice chairman during the preceding year to be promoted to chairman. Anderson replaces Councilman Andre Horton in the leadership role. I m honored to be your leader, Anderson told his six colleagues Tuesday. But I will also be a listener. And I think that is equally as important to not only lead the way but to listen to each and every one of you and the concerns that you bring to this council in regards to your districts, for the people that you serve, and for the issues that are important to you and the community that you live in.
