Erie County Councilman Carl Anderson will serve as chairman this year

Erie County Councilman Carl Anderson will serve as chairman of the seven-member body in 2021 and Kim Clear will be vice-chair.
The selection of Anderson was made during a reorganizational meeting Tuesday. It is customary for the person who served as vice chairman during the preceding year to be promoted to chairman. Anderson replaces Councilman Andre Horton in the leadership role. 
"I'm honored to be your leader," Anderson told his six colleagues Tuesday. "But I will also be a listener. And I think that is equally as important to not only lead the way but to listen to each and every one of you and the concerns that you bring to this council in regards to your districts, for the people that you serve, and for the issues that are important to you and the community that you live in."
