The Emerald Necklace Conservancy and 15 citizens from Boston and Brookline filed a lawsuit in Suffolk Superior Civil Court to stop a proposal to renovate White Stadium in Franklin Park a plan they say is an “unconstitutional privatization of public land.” The deal would transfer the stadium to a for-profit investment group, Boston Unity Soccer Partners.
A conservancy group and local residents are suing the City of Boston over plans for a new soccer stadium, saying the project “would illegally transfer” public trust lands on the site for private use.
