Congressman Auchincloss’ advocacy could yield federal funding for restoration of Brookline’s Beacon Street Bridle Path
As supporters of restoring the Olmsted Bridle Path on Beacon Street, we were delighted to learn that Congressman Jake Auchincloss (Massachusetts’ 4th District) has prioritized this project for federal funding. This crucial community improvement may soon be eligible for $2 million as a “Member Designated Project” advanced in early June by the US House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure as part of the “INVEST in America Act.” This bill would reauthorize federal funding and policy regarding surface transportation for the next five years.
