India has cautioned Bhutan against compromising on the Doklam corridor under Chinese pressure as talks between Bhutan and China to settle their boundary disputes gain momentum. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with his Bhutanese counterpart in Beijing and urged Bhutan to resolve the disputes to establish full diplomatic ties. India has conveyed to Bhutan that any settlement should not impact its interests. Bhutan and China have traditional ties, and China claims approximately 764 sqkm in Bhutan.
