Boordy Vineyards in Hydes, Baltimore County, is producing a Landmark series of high-quality dry wines that are largely sourced from its South Mountain Vineyard in Washington County.
One exception in the series is a less distinguished and quite affordable wine with a simple name of Spritz that already in its second year is proving to be a customer favorite.
What will wineries take away from 2020? Plenty, with many of the changes to be used permanently

For central Maryland’s Boordy Vineyards, its 75th anniversary year was certainly memorable, just not for the reasons it expected.
Any plans to mark the occasion for a winery that was founded by Jocelyn and Philip Wagner in 1945 were canceled by the COVID-19 pandemic along with other big events that it annually holds. In addition, at least for the moment, only those at least 21 years old are welcome to the site in Baltimore County, located a half-hour from downtown Baltimore, and switched from tastings to flights.
