Police closed the road in both directions
A busy Yeovil road has been closed after a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to Lyde Road at around 1.30pm today (April 20) after a collision.
Police shut the road in both directions near Booker Cash and Carry.
Photos from the scene appear to show one car with damage to the front of the vehicle and windscreen.
A lamppost also appears to have been damaged.

Darlington Mayor Chris McEwan delivered 100 boxes of chocolates to the workers at Darlington Memorial Hospital as a Christmas gift to say thank you on behalf of the people of the town for their work this year. He said: Both myself and the mayoress have worked in the NHS and appreciate the hard work that goes on behind the scenes, particularly in these times to keep us safe, particularly the domestic team.
