NAMPA, Idaho â Park Ridge Elementary school in Nampa received a donation of more than 1,500 books on Friday to kick off an emerging partnership with Amazon and celebrate World Book Day.
Amazon says they re looking for a number of ways to work with schools on the park ridge campus and hope to supply students at these schools with more resources in the future.

+ March 10, 2021 SAN Carlos City Library donated books to far-flung schools Prosperidad and Codcod Elementary Schools (ES) in celebration of its 62nd Public Library Day Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
Prosperidad ES received 270 books of different kind, while Codcod ES also got 285. The said books consisted of novels (fiction), textbooks, encyclopedias and dictionaries. Magazines were also included and displayed at the school library.
Stella Fetiluna, librarian III of San Carlos City Library, said for this year’s celebration, they targeted schools in rural areas for the book donation since students from the highlands do not have much access to the city library because of distance.
Fishtown book shop drops off 100 books to St. Christopher s Hospital for Children

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) The Reach Out and Read program at St. Christopher s Hospital for Children is celebrating 20 years of providing patients with brand new books at their visits.
On Monday a special book shop in Fishtown joined that effort, dropping off 100 books in the spirit of a Black female pioneer.
Harriet Tubman never learned to read or write, and that is why Jeannine A. Cook, the shopkeeper at Harriett s Bookshop has a mission of making sure as many children as possible have that opportunity.
Through generous donations, she brought the first batch of 100 books for the patients at St. Christopher s.
