Lenore Schwartz, assigned to St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette since 2000, became the latest in the area to be presented the Sagamore of the Wabash, Indiana s highest citizen award. State Sen. Ron Alting (R-Lafayette), who presented Sister Lenore with the award, nominated her for her years of dedication to the education and betterment of Indiana communities, Alting s release stated.
