EAU CLAIRE â A Menomonie woman has admitted to embezzling several thousands of dollars from her town of Union employer.
Lisa J. Sainburg, 53, 1622 N. Broadway St., pleaded guilty recently in Eau Claire County Court to a felony count of theft in a business setting.
As part of a three-year deferred agreement with prosecutors, the charge will be dismissed if Sainburg pays a $250 fine and $19,464 in restitution, commits no new crimes, performs 120 hours of community service and not be employed in a job where her duties include handling finances.
According to the criminal complaint:
An Eau Claire County sheriffâs deputy was sent to Bobcat Plus, 8500 Chayne Drive, in the town of Union on Jan. 21 to investigate a possible embezzlement case.
