Jackson Lake Island, an outdoor recreation spot in Millbrook, Alabama, remains closed after suffering damage in this week’s severe storms.
“The severe weather last night, most likely a tornado, devastated the island and we will be CLOSED until further notice,” said a Wednesday post on the Jackson Lake Island Facebook page. “We lost our pavilion, treehouse and so many trees. The goats are fine and the buildings in Spectre were mostly spared. We thank God there were no injuries to anyone in our RV area.”
