Virginia Tech will face South Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in 2025.
The contest will mark Tech’s third appearance in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game series. The Hokies previously played Alabama in 2009 and 2013. The 2025 season opener will mark Tech’s first meeting with South Carolina since 1991.

The South Carolina Gamecocks and the Virginia Tech Hokies will play in the 2025 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl officially announced on Friday.
The game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., on Sunday, Aug. 31 or Monday, Sept. 1, 2025. The game will be televised by either ESPN or ABC.
“The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game has often become a showcase for the ACC and the SEC to face off in a high-profile contest to start the season,” said Bob Somers, Peach Bowl, Inc. chairman. “This matchup looks to continue that tradition and renew an old rivalry between two historic programs.”
Louisville athletics’ ever-expanding relationship with the city of Atlanta just got even stronger.
The U of L football team is already slated to open next season against Ole Miss in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Now, the Cards have also been signed up to take on Georgia Tech in the 2023 installment of the annual first week game.

The 2023 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game will be broadcast on either ESPN or ABC. The exact kick time will be released at a later date.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Louisville Cardinals will play in the 2023 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl officially announced on Wednesday.
The game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023. The game will be televised by either ESPN or ABC.
“Hosting teams from the ACC has been a long-standing tradition for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game,” said Bob Somers, Peach Bowl, Inc. chairman. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to host another ACC conference opener in our game in consecutive seasons.”
Dorner Appoints Matthew Kelley as New Regional Sales Director
Matthew Kelley has been appointed as regional sales director for Dorner. In this newly created position, Kelley will lead a team of Dorner regional managers to grow the company’s industrial and sanitary conveyor business.
Kelley brings more than 14 years of sales experience to Dorner. He was most recently a regional sales manager at PCM, a fluid-handling equipment supplier for industrial and food markets. Kelley also held various sales manager positions within the natural resources and medical industries.
Weber Logistics Changes Ownership
Third-party logistics provider Weber Logistics announced that Stellex Capital Management (Stellex), a middle-market private investment firm with significant transportation and logistics experience, has partnered with Weber’s management team in a recapitalization focused on accelerated expansion. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
