Special Programs for December 14 thru December 19 Short List with host Bob Naujoks Monday – Friday at 8:35 AM and Saturdays at 7 AM Licorice Stick 2: Irving Fazola Irving Fazola was a master of the instrument, but not necessarily his life. He loved jazz, drinking, food and women … but not always in that order. His biggest claim to fame might be his years with the great swing band of Bob Crosby in the late 1930s and early 1940s. He was DownBeat’s Poll Winner in 1940 and 1941. Faz was a professional musician at fifteen, and played in Glenn Miller’s early band.
