Pella Regional Health Center s Auxiliary Celebrates 60 Years | KNIA KRLS Radio

Pella Regional Health Center’s Auxiliary is celebrating 60 years of service to the hospital. Maryann Hutchinson with the Auxiliary says the group was formed on October, 30, 1960, by eight women who set up the organization to “render service to the hospital and patients.” Over the years, she says the Auxiliary has grown to include men and women dedicated to supporting Pella Regional through gifts of time and raising funds. Today, the Auxiliary is still serving the hospital and clinics in a variety of ways: Volunteering at the Information Desk, Family Birthing Center, Koffietijd Kar (Coffee Cart), Information Desk, and Gifts on Jefferson

Pella Regional Health Center Named a 2021 Top 100 Critical Access Hospital

Pella Regional Health Center has been recognized as a 2021 Top 100 Critical Access Hospital by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. This 11th annual recognition program honors outstanding performance based on results of the Chartis Hospital Strength INDEX®. In addition, Pella Regional is recognized as a Top Quartile Performer for Outcomes as part of the Performance Leadership Award 2020 from National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH). “We’re thrilled to receive this award from Chartis,” said Bob Kroese, Chief Executive Officer at Pella Regional. “Being named one of the top 100 is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our providers and staff. Our team works tirelessly, living out our mission to provide high quality care with Christian compassion for all our patients. I’m proud of all their efforts and the recognition they’ve received.”

Clara Noteboom Corsica - Clara Noteboom, 100, died at Good Samaritan Society in Corsica on Monday, December 14, 2020. Celebration of life will be held at Grace Reformed Church in Corsica on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10:30 AM. The family would appreciate all that attend wear masks. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home. Clara Noteboom (De Vries) was born April 7, 1920, in Douglas County, SD to Gerrit H. and Allie (Menning) DeVries. She attended country school near Corsica. She married Andrew (Bud) Noteboom on June 20, 1939 and they shared 64 beautiful years together. To this union two daughters were born: Shirley and Nancy. Clara was a lifelong member of Grace Reformed Church, where she was active in Ladies’ Missionary Society, and taught Bible school and Sunday school. She was a 25 year member of the Corsica Extension Club and Friendship Club. In honor of her 100th birthday, an Executive Proclamation from the State of South Dakota named April 7, 2020 as Clara Noteboo
